Children of all ages can now access Expedite Q Services to join the fast track program known as NEXUS. Program Eligibility

Child applicants need the consent of a parent or guardian in order to enroll onto the NEXUS program; the parent or guardians details must be logged onto the NEXUS application form and at the time of the child's interview a parent or legal guardian must also attend. The consenting parent or guardian does NOT have to be a NEXUS member themselves. All child applicants will be background and security checked before being invited for interview. This means that the US and Canadian Customs and Border Authorities will check with immigration and law enforcement agencies to ensure that the child has not committed any violations, which would negate their status as a low risk traveler. The child applicant needs to have a valid passport in order to apply for the NEXUS program. Child applicants pay the same fees and follow the same procedures as adults, which means that children regardless of their age must attend a compulsory NEXUS interview where their biometric data including their fingerprints will be collected.

Documentation for Children Travelling outside of Canada

Children travelling with only one parent or with someone who is not their parent must carry with them documentation to prove that they have the legal authority to accompany the child. This documentation should take the form of a notarized letter signed by both parents or legal guardians. The letter should state: "I acknowledge that my wife/husband/sister/friend etc. is traveling out of the country with my son/daughter/group. He/She/They has/have my permission to do so." The letter should be updated on a regular basis if the child is a frequent traveller. In the event that a child has only one parent, the child or accompanying adult needs to bring relevant documentation proving this eg a death certificate of the deceased parent or a custody order or a birth certificate naming only one parent etc. Customs and Immigration in Canada require this information by law. Children under 18 can travel alone to a foreign country but should travel with a notarized parental permission letter in English, which contains the following information: who, what where and when.

It is advisable to contact your local Embassy in the country the child is visiting before travelling.

Program Description

Canada NEXUS is a Trusted Traveler program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in Canada. Each membership card is valid for 5 years. Applicants must be in possession of either a machine-readable passport or permanent resident card.

At airports, program participants proceed to NEXUS kiosks, present their machine-readable passport or permanent resident card, place their fingertips on the scanner for fingerprint verification, and make a customs declaration. The kiosk issues the traveler a transaction receipt and directs the traveler to baggage claim and the exit.

Members may be selected for further examination when entering Canada or the United States. Any violation of the program's terms and conditions will result in appropriate enforcement action and revocation of the traveler's membership privileges.

How to Apply

Expedite Q Services specializes in the checking and processing of Global Entry applications. We are a private company and are not related to any government agency. We cannot affect the outcome of your Global Entry membership.

Step 1. Each applicant must pay the Expedite Q Services fee which is payabe after the appliction is submitted.

Step 2. You will be contacted by your assigned agent wwithin 24hrs of your application being assigned (you will receive an email when this happens)

Step 3. Wait for the outcome of security and background checks – this process takes 2-6 weeks.

Step 4. Receive confirmation and attend an interview at a US enrollment center of your choice.

The maximum liability for any circumstance will not exceed the purchase price.

There is no need to go via PayPal to get your refund - this will be a lot slower and can take up to several weeks if you make a chargeback.

Please note we refund in full for applications not submitted or processed.
